Midland Soccer Coaching is a football coaching club with a difference. Our aim is to meet the needs of all children who join us, from those who have never played football through to those children who are already in teams and want to develop their game further.
All our courses are co-ordinated and run by ex-Birmingham City footballer Paul Tait.
Paul has also qualified as a Trauma Informed Practitioner (TIS) allowing him to work in schools and colleges with children, who may be experiencing difficulties. Midland Soccer Coaching draws on this approach when coaching children.
As an ex-professional footballer, Paul maintains excellent links with the academies within Midland clubs. Many of our former young players can now be found in the youth teams and these clubs are keen to keep abreast of the talent we nurture here at MSC. Paul also works as a player mentor for Birmingham City FC, where he is available to offer support, guidance and challenges mindset for players from 16 through to the first team players.
Of course, not all children on on to pursue professional football careers and MSC develops a wide variety of football related skills, such as team building, confidence raising, fitness and exercise and taking part in healthy communication and respect for each other - key skills to develop for all areas of life.
We are an all inclusive club and over the 17 years in our operation, we have had children of all stages of development and varying levels of ability. After many years of working with children we recognise each child will have their own goal. We are also delighted that more girls are entering the sport, and this is represented within our club.
All our courses are available to book via the tabs at the top of this page. We offer term time courses; these coincide with the School term. We have holiday fun weeks which run over Easter, Summer and where available half-terms and Christmas. In addition, we also offer football themed birthday parties, these book up quickly, so we urge early booking to avoid disappointment. We believe in quality over quantity therefore only have a handful of courses to ensure Paul oversees each individually.
In addition, MSC can also be booked to provide football development in schools. We currently operate within schools to provide bespoke sessions on a term time basis. If you require more information, please email Paul@midlandsoccercoaching.co.uk.
